Kirsty's passion is working with kids, encouraging creative minds, and growing her own artistic ambitions.
Kirsty Shadiac grew up in Adelaide before moving to Sydney to work at Art House Gallery in 2004. In January 2007 she started Kirsty’s Kids Art in Paddington. Then, in 2010, Kirsty moved back to Adelaide to branch out and start Kirsty’s Kids Art in North Adelaide. Kirsty draws on her experience working in various schools, in working with kids with intellectual disabilities and behavioural problems, to create comfortable learning environments.
Kirsty does freelance graphic design, photography, illustration, is a companion with Camp Quality, a Surf Life Saver, and is also a Captain Starlight (Captain Creative!) with the Children's Starlight Foundation in Adelaide.
Kirsty had her first solo exhibition at Artspace 0, at the Sydney Children's Hospital, from February to April 2010. Her next exhibition will be part of the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival at the Tin Cat Cafe in Kent Town.
